Great Coates Motors was founded in 1972 and will be fifty years old in 2022.

The business has gown from a small garage in Great Coates village to a large, modern facility on the South Humberside Industrial Estate in Grimsby.

Owner and managing director Allan McCartney has continued to develop and expand the services available to Great Coates Motors customers which now extend to service and repairs to cars,vans and motor homes.

We have a fully equipped parts department so if you just need a part for your car please contact them direct and they will help you.

we also have a sales department which sales used cars and vans. All vehicles sold come with a 2 year RAC warranty, fully serviced, 1 years MOT and are RAC inspected prior to sale.

The latest addition to the business is the contract hire and daily rental department which supplies cars and vans into businesses both locally and nationwide.

The extensive experience of the staff at Great Coates Motors allows the business to give its customers the highest levels of support, skill and knowledge, ensuring vehicles are always serviced or repaired to the highest of standards.

Great Coates Motors were very proud to be appointed as a Bosch Car Service garage in 2002, an excellent accolade for any motor repair business, but they have gone one better – Great Coates Motors came through the Bosch audit with the highest grading ever attained in the UK and in their 2010 audit achieved a grade of 94% to prove their consistency of performance to their customers.
